The Tabman Café Table Kit

I just couldn't wait to share this recent email I got from a Tabman Cafe Tableer. Jacob writes,

Hi Tabman,

Just a quick note to let you know that last night I had the opportunity to try the table out for the first time at a real gig, with the bag and all. It set up and broke down pretty quickly and, most importantly, stood up to the throngs of kids leaning up against it to get closer to the magic! Another magician at the event was complimentary (jealous?), too.

Thanks,

Jacob (Arlington, VA)

I've been having a great time digging out stuff from my notebook and this is the latest example. Years ago I used to do magic on the streets of New England and I always wanted something like this to perform on. That was before I settled down and built my own shop but now you can have one and for not much money.

Tabman Cafe Table Kit only $335

The price of the kit is $335 plus shipping (please inquire if you want your table kit shipped overseas), complete with everything you need. The table comes pre assembled. I've left my own personal table unfinished and I like it that way. Use it as is or sand it and stain and varnish it for an even better looking table. Pictured is the table assembled of white wood.

easily holds all your props plus a 47 pound block of concrete The table easily held this 47 pound concrete block so it can hold your props and take the performance of a spirited Cups and Balls routine or dice stacking. Tabman quality and handmade in America!!

The table itself as shown weighs just a little less than 10 lbs. The tray also acts as a brace and it is very solid. You will love how it all goes together. The legs actually are attached to the table top not just resting on a stand. You can pick the table up by the top and move it if need be. Also, you can use the top by itself it you wanted to do that too and it breaks down in under a minute and sets up just as fast.

I've been working on this idea for quite awhile and now I'm very happy with the results so now I'd like to thank my friends at Genii Magazine and especially The Magic Café for their advice on table height and top dimensions, portability, practicality, and even the name. Thanks guys, it's named for you.
